From our Pastor,

United Methodists come in all shapes and sizes, colors, dispositions, outlooks, and life stories, but we all share a unique history and faith perspective.

The United Methodist Church shares a common history and heritage with other Methodist and Wesleyan bodies. The lives and ministries of John Wesley (1703-1791) and his brother Charles (1707-1788) mark the origins of our common roots.

United Methodists are known world-wide as people who put faith and love into action. From the very beginning John Wesley and the early Methodists were concerned about inviting people to experience Godís grace and to grow in their knowledge and love of God through disciplined Christian living.

The people of Powell Chapel United Methodist Church continue this heritage and are known as people who care for the people of our community and beyond. We accept you for who you are and believe that nothing happens by accident. Therefore, if you are reading this, we believe that God has something for you at Powell Chapel. We offer you a place to belong as we love and care for you so all of us together can serve our God through loving and caring for others.
